Happy Nurses Week!!
Tis the week for nurses
That we acknowledge you
Your kind and gentle caring
That lasts the whole year through
Seems odd to only have a week
To say what needs be said
Since that is what we have
Let’s get on with this instead
So thank you for your knowledge
That keeps us safe and sound
And thanks for all your caring
You share with all around
Through laughter and through tears
You always lend a hand
So let’s take a week to share
Our thoughts throughout the land
With patience and with patients
You practice what you preach
Not only here to help
You’re also here to teach
From paperwork to bedpans
Your work is never done
Yet through it all you smile
For in your heart you’ve won
We do not always show it,
Our respect for all you do
So, for this week and always

That's a wonderful, sweet tribute to all those nurses who show such dedication and concern for their patients and families.
You are ALWAYS so thoughtful and loving, Nina. Do you know what those purple hanging flowers are in your last photo? I am intrigued!
Amen Nina. And thanks to the nurses who aren't afraid to speak up and correct the doctor thus saving two lives!
Beautiful tribute, Nina. During the 3 days in hospital in December ... the nurses were the ones who made it bearable. I told them 'thank you', but I wish I could have done more.
Nina, may I forward that to my friend George, a dedicated nurse?
