The Diversity of Trees

The Diversity of Trees

There is something in the beauty of a tree
Branches reaching together for all to see

Hand in hand strolling,  a path they create
Strong and alone, a sentry  at  gardens gate

It's mountains they climb on a forest run
Carpeting valleys, united, they act as one

The beauty of all with their leaves so unique
Needles cover like fur and each looks so chic

Colors are brilliant with foliage and flowers
Spring brings growth with its sun and showers

Look over there as trees brightly glisten
Branches sing in the breeze just stop and listen

As Shade, food or home there are uses galore
No wonder trees have so many hues we adore

So many differences  yet so much the same
A multitude of types, too many to name

United, all branches grow towards the sky
Reaching with glory to see just how high

Such variety of trees, yet everything's all right
Separate and together, they reach the same light

Look around, see their vibrant beauty with ease
Now go and Celebrate the Diversity of Trees

And I dare add, we could all learn a lesson or two from a tree...
The photo's are by Marilyn P, Erin P or Nina P. I had to add this little cutie that came into our back yard yesterday. I'd never seen such a thing, but my Mother and older brother both say this little one is called a piebald deer... Cute little one! even has a little overbite going on....

Hi Nina.... I love trees---all of them. They really are diverse!!!! Love your poem....

That little piebald deer is so precious also. He looks like someone has splashed some white paint on him... Cute!!!!

Have a great week.

Beautiful, Nina. I so love trees and consider myself a tree hugger. Gorgeous photos and a reminder to keep eyes open for those wee bright little buds.

Beautiful, Nina. I love trees. One of my most favorite things in the world is to walk in the forest amongst the cool giants and just see. And feel.

Good morning Nina
I love hugging trees. I was in the city last week down by The Rocks area and saw a wonderful tree standing tall and strong and with so much character. It called me over for a hug which of course I obliged.

We can definitely learn a lesson or two from a tree if we listen.

Lovely poem and photos Nina.

Big hugs

Oh yes. I don't think I'll ever be too old to sit in a tree if the sitting branch is easy enought to reach. I think we all have felt the energy of trees as we walk among. Your poem was just lovely. Thank you.

Nature sure can teach us a lot. How everything seems to flow with energy and beauty, like Betsy's waterfalls... Leaving it's mark and touching our heart and soul, like Clytie and her Random hearts. The repitition of the waves upon the shore, encouraging us to keep trying and working towards that which we love,Like words and paintings from people like Autumn Leaves and Sniffles and Smiles.
Or the clear breeze of clarity with the wise words of Miruspeg and Cloudhands. And the gentle reminder of spring, starting fresh and new... always cherishing the past like Silver.... And the reflections of ever changing Light through the trees onto the clear still waters of a pond, like the wisdom and passion of Laura Hegfield.
I learn from nature, and I learn form all of you ... Thank you dear friends, for enriching my life with your beauty.
Blessings to you and yours. Love and Light, Nina P
