The Fabric of Love

The Fabric of Love

Two people come together
From different walks of life
Each one has a path
That carry both joy and strife

As hearts began to beat
They search out each other
Two parts make one whole
While learning about another

Weaving with Compassion
A Love that runs so deep
To make our fabric strong
Forgiveness we must keep

Love can last forever
If we learn to communicate

Fully Loving one another

Each new day is a first date

Life it brings its trials

Its' patterns make us strong

The journey is much sweeter

When we bring Love along

Two hearts beat together
We walk along our way

Interlacing fingers
Encouraging come what may

Love it is the answer

With it you cannot fail

Show Compassionate forgiveness

Together on your trail

Celebrate with passion
The soul that lives in you

Sew everything with Love

In all you say and do

Together life's a journey
With valley, twist and turn

Heading for the mountain top

Through Faith and Love you learn

So on this day together
Stand at the top and see

The beauty you've created

Love's journey can always be

Focus on where you are
And where you want to be

The past we cannot change

The future we've yet to see

Individual strands of Love
Knitting patterns every day
When Pure Love's the Weaver
You fabric's strong in every way

My mother is a wonderful seamstress, knitter, baker, cook, and all around do it yourself kind of person. She carries so much Love inside it shows in all she does. She enjoys quilting and has made wonderful creations for: friends, family, various charity auctions, and a few for people on request. She truly puts Love in every stitch. These are but a few of her lovely creation, she's done hundreds but I, unfortunately, don't have pictures on my computer of them.

Thank you Mom for all your dedication and love you are truly one of God's Angels here on earth.

I just read an update of Clytie. The power of Healing Thoughts and Prayer do work. Her sister Beth has her update here: http://bethlniquetteart.blogspot.com/2009/12/miracle-for-my-sister.html
Thank you God, Your Light always Shines, showing the way out of the darkness.

Very nice. It's so satisfying to knit - even the simplest things. It must be such a great feeling to finish something ambitious like a quilt. Great words as usual, Nina.

Nina,
Absolutely beautiful. For a few moments I felt the wonder of love. My heart needed that--especially today when I am reeling from a huge disappointment. Thank you:)

Nina, i always get blown away when someone leaves a poem behind (because I can't do poetry ;P). It is beautiful! It speaks of healing, of hope and recovery. Such a warm beautiful piece.

"In dreams you'll dance again
and even take long walks
Your Angel's by your side,
just hear the loving talks

May each day ease the pain
of a Love that's gone ahead
And Fully live your life
as to Eternity we are lead

For grief there is no answer
yet it wants to win
Healing through the sorrow
your Light's ready to begin"

I could just this read over and over again.

thanks my darling lady!

kisses,
~Silver

Those quilts are gorgeous! And I love the idea behind your poem that love is a fabric to be worked at, knitted together and beautifully embroidered! It's like each square of the quilt could be an episode in a life story...

(((((hugs))))) to you dear Nina - you bring such wisdom and creative vision in your posts and responses to my posts. I am truly glad to have met you! x

As always Nina I am overwhelmed by your beautiful poetry.
This poem and your mothers quilts go perfectly hand in hand.
I particularly love these words:
"Together life's a journey
With valley, twist and turn
Heading for the mountain top
Through Faith and Love you learn"

BTW I was so impressed with your latest comment on my post about "Forever" I included it as a Postscript!

Nina the love and joy you spread around the blogosphere is contagious. Bless you and keep safe always.

And what marvelous news about Clytie....the power of healing thoughts wins again!!

Much love and light.

So glad to hear that Clytie is indeed doing better. Thank God! What a wonderful poem and even more wonderful testament of your love for your mom. She is a wonderful success as evidenced by your love and respect for her. Would that I had been the same for my girls. I love the sewing with love...

My mother, like her mother, was a master weaver. Her place mats and dresser scarves and wall hangings, etc. are treasures for each of us. Nina, this poem is more special than you could ever realize. I only wish I could share it with my mom. It is such a tribute to all those who do hand work and share the love through their beautiful creations.

Nina,
What a wonderful tribute. I am a quilter whose mother and grandmother were quilters and your words bring memories and reconition of the love of fabric and how we all are a part of a greater fabric that is life weaving us together.

Nina, this is so beautiful. I was reading your lovely words and looking at all of the beautiful quilts and such, and then I read that you Mother created them all. That even made this post more special. How blessed you are to have a mother who puts so much love into everything she does. How blessed she is to have a daughter who truly appreciates it.

Thank you for your prayers for Jack. They mean a lot.

Hugs and love,
Debbie

Wow Nina,

Your poetry is so wonderfully expressed from the Heart. There are so many wonderful lines. Your poetry is certainly like a tapestry or a quilt where you weave a beautiful story with your love. You are so very inspirational to All. And the quilts are just beautiful to breathe in.
